This is a lovely house with the most beautiful balcony overlooking the garden to the sea in a very peaceful location. Nothing nicer than sitting there watching the birds fly over and wading in the calm clear water. The pool is deep enough to swim but with a shallower end for lounging with a cold drink. The staff are lovely – very friendly and helpful – and everything you want is provided. Mombasa and the lights of Diani resort are close by. All in all a fatastic place to have a holiday.

We stayed at the house last November for a week as part of a party of marine biologists. Great location, right on the beach and spotless. The staff are excellent and very welcoming. We dived out on the north side of Mombassa – nice coral and plenty of fish life – the plan is to return and try southern areas.

Some of our party went on a one day safari – lions being the highlight but also good spotting of other game and uncrowded Park roads.

    Would certainly go again.

“Stayed at this villa over Xmas and New Year 2009-10. Very well placed for access from airport. Owner’s representative, Fatih, can meet you at airport if required and he is incredibly helpful during your stay. Weather was perfect but can be a little humid as right on the beach. VERY large rooms, incredible view from balcony. Well appointed kitchen. Pool was under construction when we stayed but from photos this looks amazing and ideal for children! It’s a very private area and gardens fully enclosed and landscaped.
Great base for trips to Diani or into Mombasa itself or if adventurous there are game parks within couple of hours drive. Try It!! You won’t be disappointed!!”

This was truly the best vacation we have ever spent here at this house for 2 1/2 weeks. The staff is friendly, courteous and phenomenal. We didn’t want to leave. Suggest you take advantage of the chef. His food is superbly delicious and he will make for children as well. We loved Sand and Shells and we thank everyone for making our stay there the best!! –Elias,Karen,Ethan,Katie and Aiden

We just returned from Kenya and had the chance to stay here during part of our trip there. We really enjoyed ourselves. The house was beautiful and very well kept. The staff was awesome! Nora took care of keeping everything looking great. Omar patrolled at night and would let us out the gate on the beach in the middle of the night to enjoy the high tide. Nickson took care of anything we needed inlcuding meeting us at the airport and arranging transportation for us when our transportation didn’t work out. He also helped us book a snorkeling adventure. After spending the days sight seeing in Mombasa we would return to be able to enjoy the pool. And an unexpected but awesome experience was the wild monkeys that would show up each morning and again in the afternoon and would eat bananas right from our hand!

We hope that we are able to include another stay here in our next trip to Kenya. We highly recommend this place!

The house is wonderful and airy in a big garden with a beautiful turquoise blue swimming pool. Beyond the garden wall is the lagoon and at low tide we walked out to the reef edge of the Indian Ocean through warm seas and pretty rock pools. The staff are really friendly and keep the place clean and comfortable.

We had a day visit to Tsavo National Park – an early start (we took cushions and snoozed) but well worth it as we saw a leopard, lion, lots of elephants, giraffes and hippos, most of them really close up. Also visited Shimoni a couple of hours drive south and watched whales and dolphins and swam in the Marine National Park. Shelley Beach area has no hotels but half an hour drive away is Diani with supermarkets and restaurants and bars. We loved the Swahili Beach Resort where you can lunch in the gardens and swim in the infinity pool. The whole trip was marvellous and I whole heartedly recommend it.
